Blue not Gold - _TNY_0711
Here is one out of a pair of shots, showing the common spreadwing, (Lestes sponsa), also known as the emerald damselfly.
This one in soft blue is a male and the other shot is a female, sporting a lovely gold paintjob instead.
I am extra pleased with this pair of shots as I found the male on a green reed while the female was on a brown straw of grass - matching their individual colors nicely.
Both of these are covered in dew drops as I took these photos around 5:30 in the morning, when they were both (mostly) asleep in the Hemmesta sjöäng wetland in Värmdö, Sweden.
The shot of the female can be found here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/51424965715/
