This is shot at a somewhat odd angle, but you see, I found this male European garden spider (Araneus diadematus) sitting on a (rusty) hook/hanger in the white ceiling overhang over the patio at my mom's summer house in Saltarö in the inner archipelago of Stockholm, Sweden.
Figuring it wasn't running away I went and fetched a step-ladder and climbed up for some shots.
It was a little awkward shooting against the ceiling as the diffuser was in the way, but this guy was a very accomodating model and moved about - while staying near the hanger - which offered me several different poses.
