The Pretty Face of Extreme Concentration - TNY-6436

When seeing the beetles on the lily pads it is quite easy to imagine they would be easy subjects to shoot.

When bringing the macro gear, the extremely shallow depth of field makes even small waves quite troublesome.

Both the water lily leaf beetle (Galerucella nymphaeae) here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/51301434495/ and the Donacia crassipes species here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/51300419881/ took some heavy concentration from yours truly to get in focus - enough to forget to not make a face like a moron.
