My son came running to tell me found this little guy on the garden trampoline at some friend's house.
It was playing dead (probably didn't like being bounced around) but after a while on my hand it figured out the coast was clear and got back on all six again.
This is a large pine weevil (Hylobius abietis) and a two exposure focus stack to add a little extra depth of field.
