Unfortunate Yeet - _TNY_1150
This weevil which I found on a spruce twig in the Rudan nature reserve just south of Stockholm, Sweden is a member of the Polydrusus genus, possibly P. cervinus.
Unfortunately for it, I managed to snag my flash diffuser on that twig right after taking this shot and when the twig got unsnagged, it subesquently ejected the weevil into the stratosphere so no further shots were possible. (The weevil no doubt came away from the experience completely unscathed).
Also, thos light scales *really* look like sesame seeds, don't they?
