Sleepy Head - _TNY_0163

One of the first insects to appear in any numbers around our house are cluster flies (Pollenia sp. ) like this one. They like hibernate in the walls of houses and once temps are beginning to rise they wake up in bunches and then sit there in the still pretty cold weather, appearing to wonder why they were in such a hurry to get out of bed.
