Eye Spot, Pt. 2 - _TNY_6893S2
I saw a nymph of a green shieldbug on a leaf by the road and when I bent down to take a photo I noticed this nice and almost acid green leafhopper (Populicerus sp.) with quite cool eyes on the next leaf.
These guys tend to try and hide on the far side of the twig they are on when you close in so I am happy with how close I got here. This is at 3:1 magnification with the MP-E65.
Also, since it kept very still, I took two shots and combined them using Zerene Stacker for some extra depth of field.
