Yellow Parasite - _TNY_7605

Dexiosoma caninum is a tachinid fly which like other tachinids are parasitoids and this species lay their eggs on larvae of the common cockchafer (Melolontha melolontha) - and possibly other Melolontha species as well.

 

This one came out great with nice crisp details and was taken on a walk through the Gullringskärret nature reserve not far from my home.
