Orange is the New Green - _TNY_5195
Looking at this orange butterfly with beautiful black markings, the common name of dark green fritillary (Speyeria aglaja) might seem like a bit of misnomer.
The wing base is more green than on the other fritillaries though which is the reason for the name.
This species was previously known as Argynnis aglaja.
