Frozen in Vietnam, Pt. 2 - _TNY_3454

Not at all 100% sure on this grasshopper I came across on the island of Phu Quoc, Vietnam, but I believe it's a male gaudy grasshopper (Atractomorpha sinensis), a member of the Pyrgomorphidae family.

Anyways, this guy went for the if-I-don't-move-I-can't-be-seen form of defense and stayed completely still while I fired away. My flash overheated at this moment so it was quite handy to have a subject which gave me plenty of time to figure things out.

One cool thing about these which can't be seen in this shot is that they have pink wings!
