As it is only the males that have the distinct orange wingtips, the common name for this butterfly, "the orange tip" (Anthocharis cardamines) feels a bit off when you see a female like this one.
The nice flower it has landed on is a Japanese primrose (Primula japonica), also known as the Queen of Primroses or valley red.
