Having a Green Meal - _TNY_6996

While visiting the Havtornsudd point at Gålö I found a dead tree which had broken off about a meter from the ground and fallen. Underneath was this soon to be very full Parasteatoda lunata spider, a member of the Theridiidae family, known as tangle-web spiders.

Today's lunch was a green shield bug (Palomena prasina) and she was eagerly eating while I struggled to get close enough to get good photos while at the same time not hit her web (they're called tangle-webs for a reason) or the tree branches with my flash diffuser.
