Warming Up - _TNY_8308

Seeing a common green furrow-bee (Lasioglossum morio) inside a tulip like this quite effectively shows how much smaller than the typical bees they are.

 

I had the good fortune to snap this right as it was starting up the wings but before taking off which made for a cool effect.
