While helping my wife take care of the thuja bushes in front of the house, I may have kind of slipped into photographer mode instead. It turned out the thujas had a couple of interesting shieldbugs in them which caught my attention.
This is a fifth instar nymph of most likely Chlorochroa juniperina or maybe Chlorochroa pinicola.
Regardless of which one it is, that grey colour looks very neat in my opinion.
