Winter in August - _TNY_7186S2
Back in March, I was out in the forest near our house and came across a common winter damsel (Sympecma fusca), a species which hibernates as adult and thus can be out and about way before the other species which hibrnate as larvae and then hatch later in the season.
When out gathering bilberries in early August we passed almost exactly the same spot and to my delight I managed to capture another one hiding in the heather!
This one was obviously the next generation and stayed still enough for me to capture two exposures with different parts in focus and then combine them using Zerene Stacker into this shot.
