Coffee Break Macrography - _TNY_5959

Coffe breaks are important in Swedish culture. This is referred to as taking a "fika" and is an important way of socializing anytime - except in 2020, I suppose.

Spending (just) a week of my summer vacation at my mother-in-law's house it was intense trying to photograph all the nice inverts running/flying/crawling around there.

The entire week was incredibly hot by Swedish standards though so when someone said it was time for a fika in the shadow on the patio, it was a given.

Just as I was about to taste my coffee, my dear wife spotted something walking across the table so I had to make a llittle photo break in the fika to capture this Glischrochilus hortensis sap-beetle on the table cloth at 3.9:1 magnification.
