Distinctive Camouflage, Pt. 2 - _TNY_7222

Grasshopper camo patterns come in many forms, ofter quite variable within a species. This bow-winged grasshopper (Chorthippus biguttulus) has gone for one with quite sharp and distinctive markings which of course don't work out in the open, but when sitting in the grass, it made the animal very difficult to distinguish.

Found this one on a walk around Havtornsudd (Buckthorn Point) on te peninsula of Gålö in Stockholm's inner archopelago.
