Lemon Scented - _TNY_1256

This common yellow-face bee (Hylaeus communis), like all Hylaeus species actually have a faint scent of lemon. You will probably have to pick it up to be able to sense it, but like most bees, these little guys don't sting.

 

Unlike most other bees, Hylaeus bees are a bit more primitive and don't carry pollen on their body or legs but rather in a crop.
