Dressed for Cold Weather, Pt. 2 - _TNY_8202
This is some sort of mining bee (Andrena sp.) and a female. I've had some assistance from people much more versed in bees than myself, but we still have not definitive answer as to exact which species it is.
This girl was sitting on the bare rock in the cold weather of April 21th in Tyresta National Park (Spring can be quite cold up here in Sweden) and I assume the low temps helped me getting close in without here leaving.
All that soft fur was probably very useful that day though.
