Shimmer, Pt. 3 - _TNY_7244S4

Working nights and coming home early in the morning coupled with the way our house looks has proven to be a nice source of interesting subjects to photograph in the form of moths, asleep on the sills outside the windows. Them being asleep offers some nice possibilities to do focus stacks like this one as they don't move, but the background being very plain and boring is a drawback.

The burnished brass (Diachrysia chrysitis) here is a nice-looking moth. Depending on the light, the bands on the wings shift in different green hues and the orange head makes for a nice contrast.

This shot is made from three exposures, combined using Zerene Stacker.
