Inner Glow Weevil, Pt. 2 (Cropped) - _TNY_1753C
The Apionidae weevils are quite small, this Apion frumentarium is the largest species we have here at a still not-so-massive 3-4 mm in length.
It was hanging out in the middle of a bunch of stinging nettles Urtica dioica so I was glad I wasn't wearing shorts when I spotted the tiny, intensly red speck on the green leaves.
The way the red appears to be warmer inside looks really cool in my opinion.
