Beauty Not Only by Name - _TNY_5338
A name like "the mottled beauty" (Alcis repandata) obligates a bit, but I think this one pulls it off in spite of using quite plain colours.
This is a geometrid moth with markings that are quite variable, but I got good help with the ID so I am confident about it.
I came across this particular specimen ar the Paradiset nature reserve just to the south of Stockholm.
