Bling - _TNY_0342

This little guy is a 2nd instar rusty tussock moth (Orgyia antiqua), also known as the vapourer.

When I say it's small, I do mean small - this was shot using a MP-E65mm lens at 2.7:1 magnification. I will post another shot soon with it next to the tip of one of my fingers as a scaling banana.

I was fortunate to find it again the very next day when it had moulted into the 3rd instar and got photos of both it and the moult it had let behind.
