The purple angelica (Angelica gigas) is a tall plant with leaves that grow very large.

 

Here's a leaf that has been almost completely devoured by the beautifully striped green eating machine which is the caterpillar of the old world swallowtail (Papilio machaon). It's really quite amazing how fast they can make such a large leaf disappear.
