The Caped Crusader - _TNY_1442
It's not an official name, but this guy (we can see it's a male because the eyes are touching each other) is colloquially known as the Batman hoverfly (Myathropa florea).
It gets this name because of the black marking on the thorax which typically resembles Batman's symbol - though it isn't very obvious in this specimen.
As so often in my hoverfly shots - a great masterwort (Astrantia major) is serving as the backdrop.
