Test Subject - _TNY_8551

Last winter I bought myself a new flash, a Godox Thinklite TT685C to replace the Meike MK-300 which began overheating every now and then. This meant designing a new diffuser and here is a shot from an intermediary diffusion solution. I had a too thick sheet of polystyrene which, though it diffused very nicely, meant that the flash couldn't push enough light through it when needed.

Here it worked out nicely, but on much of the shots from this day they came out severly underexposed, especially when there was very little foreground like with a bug on a thin twig.

Not really sure what hoverfly this is, but I'll update if I manage to figure it out.
