This very furry little friend on my finger is a male December moth (Poecilocampa populi).
I found him, like so many moths, sleeping on the window sill outside my house when coming home from the night shift early in the morning.
As the name suggests, this one flies very late in the season which is where the thick and warm fur comes in handy.
This is a focus stack combined using Zerene stacker, but just out of two shots.
