Wrong Web - _TNY_9103
Just a spider in a web, right? Well, since this is a (male) zebra spider (Salticus scenicus) which is a jumping spider, a family which don’t make webs, it is there because it didn’t spot the web and got caught in it and overpowered by its owner.
I don’t know which species made the web, but most likely it was a rabbit hutch spider (Steatoda bipunctata) which frequently build webs along the edge of the window sill while the zebras like to hunt on the sill. This day the jumper lost out.
