In Front of the Rainbow - _TNY_0954
The goldenrod crab spider (Misumena vatia), also known as the flower crab spider, can change colour from white to a pale lime green and further on to a fantastic yellow hue, reminiscent of mango.
Most of the ones I've found have been white, but this one was squarely in the yellow camp.
She was trying her ambush skills at the top of a year-old, dead heartleaf oxeye (Telekia speciosa) which honestly wasn't the best place to catch pollinators. I took the liberty of moving her to a flowering plant instead.
I'm not sure what flower or grass is looking like a rainbow in the background, but given the colour of the spider, I feel a rainbow is pretty fitting.
