From this angle, it is pretty much impossible to identify which species - or even genus - this hoverfly belongs to. It is however, a really good angle to tell which sex it is. Male hoverflies like this one have eyes that touch each other which the eyes on the girls don't.
Either way, I bet the intensly yellow tansy (Tanacetum vulgare) tasted just great.
