The Winter Spider, Pt. 2 - _TNY_7808

Winter in central Sweden usually means very few spiders, but this male rabbit hutch spider (Steatoda bipunctata) surprised me on January 5th and got treaded to some macro photography before being transferred to the garden shed.

This species (at least the females) resemble the black widow spider of the genus Latrodectus and is thus sometimes referred to as "false widow". This one is about as dangerous as a teaspoon though.
