Green Runner - _TNY_4569

This is a green tiger beetle (Cicindela campestris), related to ground beetles, a voracious predator which uses its high speed to chase down other insects. This speed, coupled with the ability to fly make them somewhat difficult to photograph - just when you've gotten close enough they either run or fly a like a meter ahead of you.
