Under the Flower Pot - _TNY_9728

I believe this is the larvae of a black-headed cardinal beetle (Pyrochroa coccinea).

 

I accidentally knocked over (ok, destroyed) a large flower pot standing on a dead tree stump on the neighbor's lawn while playing tag with some children and we discovered that there were a bunch of creepy crawlies underneath.
