Dual Yellow Stripes, Pt. 1 - _TNY_1830

This pretty visitor on the great masterwort (Astrantia major) is a male two-banded wasp hoverfly (Chrysotoxum bicinctum).

 

Somewhere along the way, he got a dent in the abdomen, but seemed to fly around as usual.
