At the Tanning Salon - _TNY_1308 (In Explore 21/4 2018)

One of the largest species of lizard which isn't a monitor, the northern caiman lizard (Dracaena guianensis) of South America can reach 120 centimeters in length.

 

They feed on shellfish and can break open the shells using their quite powerful jaws.

 

This specimen is working on his tan at the Prague Zoo.
