A Sinister-Looking Church - _TNY_1107

The incredibly gothic-looking Church of our Lady before Týn in Prague as seen in the evening from Staroměstské náměstí, the Old Town Square.

The original construction began in 1365 and parts were added to it several times. This western side towards the square was finished in 1485 after the Hussite wars. The remains of astronomer Tycho Brahe are buried inside the church.

The statue in the foreground is the Jan Hus Memorial by sculptor Ladislav Šaloun in 1915.
