The Great Mormon in Blue - _TNY_1913

This male great mormon (Papilio memnon agenor) decided to sit still for a little while outside our bungalow and let me take his portrait.

 

This species is rather large with a wingspan of between 120 and 150 mm and has several distinctly different color forms. In my opinion, this one (i.e. agenor) with its midnight blue livery is by far the prettiest.
