Pretty Pest - _TNY_3364
This Vietnamese acquaintance is the nymph (either fourth or fifth instar) of the red cotton stainer (Dysdercus koenigii).
It's actually a serious pest of cotton crops feeding on the bolls and seeds and transmitting cotton staining fungi in the process.
Looking at the right side of the top of the flower bud, there is a second, much smaller, bug but I have no idea what it could be.
