Hello Bigeyes - _TNY_1051

The darker variety of great masterwort (Astrantia major) makes for a nice background for this pellucid fly (Volucella pellucens).

 

If you're seeing this on a computer, I really reccomend pressing "L" and then "Z" on your keyboard to see those compound eyes in all their glory.
