Deep in There - _TNY_4614

This bumblebee, deep into the rhododendron flower is what I believe to be a forest cuckoo bumblebee (Bombus sylvestris), sometimes known as the four-coloured cuckoo bee.

 

Like all cuckoo bumblebees, it lays its eggs in other bumblebee species nests, leaving them to be cared for by the nest's inhabitants.
