Another shot of the black-banded spider wasp (Anoplius viaticus) I met in early May.
These guys hunt wolf spiders to paralyze for food for the next generation.
This species is quite early in the year due to the fact that unlike most other Pompilinae, A. viaticus overwinters as an adult in a deep burrow and get a head start on the competition.
