Best Shot of the Summer - _TNY_9445 (In Explore 1/12 2016)
This shot of a silver-washed fritillary (Argynnis paphia) making a pit stop on a great masterwort (Astrantia major) is probably my favourite in this summer's crop of photos.
The butterfly let me get really close, the focus is where it should be and the underside of the wings which are more attractive than the topside are clearly showing their fine detail and that groove-like pattern that makes me think of a vinyl record.
