World's Largest Dragonfly? - _TNY_9537

My father-in-law built a miniature float and anchored it in the garden pond to provide the fish with somewhere to hide from hungry birds.

 

This male black darter/meadowhawk (Sympetrum danae) perched on the railing is a really small species, but here it suddenly looks massive.
