Metamorphosis, pt 1 of 6 - _TNY_0572

This small tortoise shell (Aglais urticae) larvae decided just outside our front door was the perfect place to (sucessfully) complete the metamorphosis into the adult imago.

 

This is 06:08 on day one and it is still deciding if this is the right place.
