Metamorphosis, pt 5 of 6 - _TNY_0622

This small tortoise shell (Aglais urticae) larvae decided just outside our front door was the perfect place to (sucessfully) complete the metamorphosis into the adult imago.

This is on day eleven, the typical time it takes for A. urticae to complete the metamorphosis and the orange of the adult butterfly can be seen through the chrysalis.
