Metamorphosis, pt 6 of 6 - _TNY_0631

This small tortoise shell (Aglais urticae) larvae decided just outside our front door was the perfect place to (sucessfully) complete the metamorphosis into the adult imago.

 

The chrysalis was empty the next time I saw it after the previous photo, but I didn't get around to taking a final photo until ten days later.
