I Can't Be Seen, Right? - TNY01526
An Emma Gray's forest lizard (Calotes emma) using the "If I don't move then nobody sees me" method of avoiding predators which meant I could get in nice and close for a photo.
This was taken in the jungle near the "Emerald Pool" of the Khlong Thom district in Krabi, Thailand in 2008 using a Sony DSC-T100 supercompact.
This specimen was around 30 cm including tail and the specific name, "emma", is in honor of Maria Emma Gray, wife of John Edward Gray, the describer of this species.
