The Food Thief, pt. 2 - _TNY_3057
A second shot of the common wasp (Vespula vulgaris) which had discovered a green shield bug (Palomena prasina) caught by a walnut orb-weaver (Nuctenea umbratica) and left hanging from a spider thread.
The wasp simply landed on the bug and proceeded to cut away the section of it which was stuck to the web and after finishing its work it flew off with most of the bug.
The spider didn't come out to challenge the thief, but stayed hidden instead.
