Skull Fly #3 - _TNY_9560
A male Myathropa florea hoverfly, in Swedish it's known as a "dödskallefluga" ( literally "skull fly") due to the pattern on the thorax.
Like so many other of my subjects, I've found it on the flower of the great masterwort (Astrantia major).
Two other shots of the same species (though from angles not showing the skull) on the white variety of the same flower can be found here www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/23496443606/ and here www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/23226791130/
