Skull fly #2 - _TNY_5646

A female Myathropa florea hoverfly on a great masterwort (Astrantia major). The Swedish name for this fly, "dödskallefluga" literally translates to "skull fly" - a name given because of the markings on the thorax resembling a skull.

The image was quite overexposed, but I still think the species was interesting enough to keep the shots.
